RecPlex Reservations

The RecPlex may be reserved by university groups for team practices or to host games, tournaments, or special events. All tournaments must be conducted under the auspices of the Department of Recreational Sports.

All participants must sign a waiver of liability prior to participating in any event held at the RecPlex.


 Softball Complex

Softball Complex
Playing Area: 4 fields @ 300' field (home to fence)
Fees for the Softball Complex are:

  • 1 day (under 20 teams): $250*
  • 2 days (20 * 40 teams): $400*
  • 3 days (40+ teams): $500*

* This fee provides daily set-up for each day of the tournament, use of scoreboards and sound system plus the services of a Rec. Sports staff member who will be on site throughout the tournament to assist your tournament however necessary. This staff member also has the sole authority on determining play/no play in the event of inclement weather. His or her decision is not subject to challenge and the decision will be based on safety first.

  • For an additional fee, Rec. Sports staff will groom fields between games. This grooming fee will be an additional $20/field/prep.
  • Our student organization PRO-Rec will manage the concession stand. They will sell soft drinks, water, power drinks, and candy. Any other items your organization wishes to sell may be done so separately from their concessions.
  • You may charge a gate fee, however, no Rec. Sports staff will be charged to enter or exit the facility.
  • Please be aware that alcohol AND tobacco products are forbidden within the complex. Anyone observed violating this policy will be asked to leave the area.
  • Please provide the Department of Recreational Sports with a complete schedule of the tournament no later than 2 days prior to the first day of the tournament so we may insure the gates to the facility are open early enough to allow warm-up before the first round of games each day. Also on this date, let us know how frequently you want the fields groomed if at all.
  • Items not included in the user fee include umpires' and scorekeepers' fees and game equipment.

Fees for PRACTICE on the Softball fields are as follows:

  • Fields may be reserved by university-related organizations for team practices or games at a rate of $30 per field per hour.
  • Additional fees may be charged for specific field set up/preparation (e.g. painting lines, etc.)

The RecPlex has portable fence units available. User fees for the portable fence are as follows:

  • 1 field: $100 ($50 per field for fence + $50 deposit)
  • 2 fields: $150 ($50 x 2 fields= $100 + $50 deposit)
  • 3 fields: $200 ($50 x 3 fields= $150 + $50 deposit)
  • 4 fields: $250 ($50 x 4 fields= $200 + $50 deposit)


 Multi-Purpose Field Complex

Fees for the Multi-purpose Field are as follows:

  • 1 Day - $200.00
  • 2 Days - $300.00
  • 3 Days - $400.00

Fees for PRACTICE on the multi-purpose fields are as follows:

  • The multi-purpose field area may be reserved by university-related organizations for team practices or games at a rate of $50 per hour.
  • Additional fees may be charged for specific field set up/preparation (e.g. painting lines, etc.)

 Payment

Payment
A user agreement must be signed at least 2 week (14 calendar days) prior to the scheduled event. A billing invoice will be issued to the group contact. The group contact person is responsible for making payments and communicating with Recreational Sports.

A deposit of 50% of the User Fee is due with the completion of the Reservation Form. The Total Amount is due in full 1 business day prior the the event. Payments may be made Monday-Friday 8:00am-6:00pm in the Sanderson Center's Member Services Office.


 RecPlex Policies

RecPlex Policies

  • All softball competition will be played using umpires who are sanctioned by a softball governing body. e.g., the Amateur Softball Association
  • A deposit of not less than 50% of the user fee is required no later than 2 weeks (14 calendar days) prior to scheduled event.
  • The Department of Recreational Sports reserves the right to refuse use to any group due to conflicts with upcoming events, field conditions, history of non-payment, or history of abuse to facilities.
  • In the event of inclement weather, a representative of the Department of Recreational Sports will make a decision regarding the condition of the fields and whether or not further play is possible.
  • In the event of cancellation of a tournament, a refund of the deposit on the fields is available provided notice is given two business days prior to scheduled start of the rental.
  • In the event of cancellation due to inclement weather, every effort will be made to reschedule to a time mutually convenient to all parties involved.
